Dear Friends and Supporters of HCM:

How wonderfully and richly God is blessing Haitian Christian Ministries. The ministry Emmanuel & Prisca Laguerre began many years ago in Pillatre, Haiti continues to grow and expand and is just as vital today as it was then. Their witness, compassion, understanding, and love have not gone unnoticed and they have truly been used of God in reaching their fellow Haitians for Christ.

This letter is to update you on the progress of a new project HCM has undertaken in order to more fully reach the reachable. Our school has grown to over 560 students. It is our prayer to be able to build 10 individual classroom buildings on the property to be used for education in the broadest sense of the word as well as education in the matter of eternal life. The total estimated cost for each of these classrooms is $9500. So far, with the help of work teams and gifts, four of these ten structures are well underway. These four only need to have Finishing touches, "such as electrical work, painting, etc. completed before they are fully usable. We have been overwhelmed with the response so far of our supporters to the provision of funds (and labor) for these buildings. Yet, to reach our goal of 10 fully functioning classrooms, more gifts of time and money are needed.

Would you, your Sunday School class, your small group, or your church family consider giving a one-time gift toward the construction of one of the remaining classrooms? Would you and/or a group of your friends be interested in spending a week or two serving in Haiti on such a worthwhile project? The need is already there. What is left to us is the desire and willingness to fulfill that need. And, with God's help, Haitian Christian Ministries can meet that need in remarkable ways. God has already shown His blessing on this ministry and we at HCM are anxiously waiting to see how He continues to do so.
